Objective

The Naveen Jindal Yashasvi Scholarship (NJYS) aims to support meritorious students from underprivileged and economically weaker sections of society, enabling them to complete their studies or professional courses while overcoming financial challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Group: 16 to 28 years.

Family Income: The annual income of the family from all sources should not exceed ₹3,00,000 as per Parivar Pehchan Patra issued by Govt. of Haryana.

Residence: Must be a resident of the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency.

Marks in the Last Qualifying Exam:

  • 70% and above in 12th standard.
  • No criteria of minimum marks for students pursuing skill training.
Post-12th JEE/NEET Coaching Scholarship: Extending the scholarship to students pursuing JEE/NEET coaching after 12th standard, provided the coaching institute is located within the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency and the applicant is also from Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency. Eligible students must have secured at least 70% in their last qualifying examination and have an family income upto INR 3,00,000 as verified by an Income Certificate or Family ID issued by the Government of Haryana. The scholarship will cover 50% of the toal coaching fees. This scholarship will continue for only one year for the applicant.
Non-Recipient of Other Scholarships: The applicant should not have availed the benefit of any other scholarship for the same course.

Additional Criteria

  • Scholarship is offered to meritorious, underprivileged, and economically weaker section students to help them complete their studies or professional courses without financial stress.
  • Students pursuing their studies from govt. institutions, govt aided and private colleges are eligible for the Scholarship. All fee will be covered except hostel and accommodation fee under NJYS.
  • The scholarship to support course fees is also available for vocational training courses after the 10th grade.
  • Eligible candidates can apply online through
    naveenjindalfoundation.com or offline at Jindal House Mohan Nagar Kurukshetra & Kaithal.
  • The scholarship fees will be paid directly by the Foundation to the institution against the fee letter/invoice.
  • For applications towards continuation in studies will only be eligible with a Performance letter and marksheet from the institute along with certification of at least 75% class attendance.
  • The students failing to secure less than 60% in semester or relevant examination will not be eligible for further installments of the scholarship.

Application Requirements

  • Proof of Residence (*True copies of Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Parivar Pehchan Patra).
  • *True copies of Mark Sheets of the qualifying exams.
  • *True copy of Admission letter from the institution stating the required Course Fee.
  • *True copy of Income Proof/Family ID of parents/legal guardians issued by competent Revenue authorities as per government norms.
  • *Declaration form stating that the applicant has not received any other scholarship and stating the genuinity of all the documents submitted (as applicable in the format attached).
  • Proof of Residence: Aadhar Card/Voter ID/Residence Certificate, attested by any gazetted officer (e.g: Tahsildar/Ast. Surgeon/ Principal/Ast. Professor of Govt. College or any other gazetted officer).

Scholarship Award

50% of the course fee (like tuition fee, development fee, seminars fees , book & stationery fee etc ) to be covered, depending on the merit and financial status.
Decision of the Foundation to award Scholarship is final and binding, and cannot be challenged.
