Objective

The Naveen Jindal Yashasvi Scholarship (NJYS) for Schools aims to support students from underprivileged backgrounds, those belonging to widow, single mother, divorcee mother and orphan families. The initiative seeks to ensure uninterrupted school education by reducing financial barriers and enabling students to continue their academic journey with dignity.

Eligibility Criteria

Family Income: The annual family income from all sources should not exceed ₹3,00,000 as per Parivar Pehchan Patra issued by the Government of Haryana.

Residence: The applicant must be a resident of the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency.

Category: Applicable for students belonging to:

  • Widow mothers
  • Single mother households
  • Divorcee families
  • Orphan children
Non-Recipient of Other Scholarships: The applicant should not be availing the benefit of any other scholarship.

Additional Criteria

  • The scholarship is aimed at supporting school education for eligible students facing financial challenges.
  • The financial assistance will be provided based on eligibility and document verification.
  • The scholarship amount will be paid directly to the school against the fee invoice/structure.
  • Students must provide valid documentation to establish eligibility under the defined categories.

Application Requirements

  • Death Certificate (in case of widow/orphan)
  • Valid document supporting Single Mother/Divorcee status
  • Passport size photograph of the student
  • Proof of Residence (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Residence Certificate)
  • Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID)
  • Aadhaar Card of student and guardian
  • Previous class marksheet
  • School Admission Letter
  • School Fee Structure/Invoice
