Kurukshetra, May 2025: In a significant expansion of the Naveen Jindal Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme, the eligibility criteria have been broadened to benefit more students from economically weaker families in the Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency. The scheme now extends to students from families with an annual income of up to ₹3.0 lakh, an increase from the previous limit of ₹2.5 lakh. Additionally, students studying in government-aided and private schools are now eligible to apply for the scholarship, which was previously limited to government school students only.
The Naveen Jindal Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme is open to students between the ages of 16 and 25, who reside in the Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency and have scored at least 70% in their previous qualifying exams. This scholarship is available for students pursuing educational and vocational courses after completing Class 10 or Class 12. Under the scheme, 50% of the course fees (including tuition, development, seminar, and learning materials) will be covered by the scholarship. However, the scheme does not cover boarding or hostel facilities.
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship online through the official website of the Naveen Jindal Foundation at www.naveenjindalfoundation.com. Offline applications can also be submitted at the foundation’s Kurukshetra office. The scholarship is open to both boys and girls.
Extending the scholarship to students pursuing JEE/NEET coaching after 12th standard, provided the coaching institute is located within the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency and the applicant is also from Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency. Eligible students must have secured at least 70% in their last qualifying examination and have a family income up to INR 3,00,000 as verified by an Income Certificate or Family ID issued by the Government of Haryana. The scholarship will cover 50% of the total coaching fees. This scholarship will continue for only one year for the applicant.
